Pumpkin Bread

  • 2/3 cup shortening
  • 2 2/3 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 lb. can pumpkin
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 3 1/3 cups flour
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2/3 cup raisins
  • 2/3 cup walnuts
  • 1 tsp. cloves
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  1. Cream shortening and sugar.
  2. Stir in eggs, pumpkin, water.
  3. Blend in dry ingredients, then nuts and raisins.
  4. Bake 70 minutes at 350º.
